Chaos in Rhondda Fawr as Lorry Driver Transporting Turbines Decides This Is Far Enough

[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense2″]

A lorry driver who was transporting a turbine for the Wind Farm through the Rhondda today, decided when he got to Ton Pentre that enough was enough and has refused to go any further.

The turbines were being transported in a northerly direction heading towards the wind farm above the Rhigos, when the the driver decided he couldn’t be arsed to go any further, due to people parking out side their own homes and also because of the Valleys Velo Cycling Race.

Experienced HGV driver, Donald Miller, said “Enough is enough, it took me 2 hours to drive from Porth, and between the tight corners, narrow streets and double parked cars, not to mention the bloody bike race that was going on today, I decided I wasn’t going any further.”

A haulage company spokesman, Gordon Murray said, “It beggars belief that people just went about their normal business when they knew the turbines were coming, some idiot even organised a cycling event for the same day. I hope the people behind the cycle event are prepared to offer their apologies to the drivers.”

“It’s absolutely ridiculous really,” continued Mr Miller, “how the hell am I expected to do my job when selfish Rhondda people decide to park outside their houses on a Sunday.”

The turbine is still stuck on a bridge in Ton Pentre with diversions in place, Mr Miller and Mr Murray are considering just to erect the turbine in the middle of the road just to teach Rhondda people a lesson.

  1. Ohhhhhh we’re all so terribly sorry that we have lives to lead!!!! Just because it’s Sunday some of us “idiots” as you called us who live here work on that day the same as you !!! Yes we do live in the Rhondda and are so sorry that you were inconvenienced by this but if your driver had done his homework and looked at the route he had to take beforehand he would have seen that most of the streets are narrow and us “selfish Rhondda people” who park outside OUR houses pay the same road tax as everyone else !!!

  3. The lorry driver should blame the company he drives for, as they choose this route, which even without parked cars is not suitable for such an extreme load. And he has no right to his opinion, that the valley folk are to blame. He should remember THEY LIVE HERE, he doesnt ! So best he keeps his comments to himself !

  4. All the comments on the list have disappeared. What’s that all about. Company and its drivers were very rude to the Rhondda people. It’s not their fault the roads are too narrow take it up with the Highways Department not the good people of he Rhondda.

  7. Perhaps the idiots who decided to put these bloody f*****g things here in the first place may think that we need them but as far as I am concerned you can bloody take them and stick them where the sun don’t shine they are a blight on our landscape and a total eyesore I for one really detest the sight of the bloody things and as for the driver thinking us Rhondda people are so selfish as to want to park outside our own homes at any time of the Week far less a Weekend, un f*****g believable. Total tit springs to mind

  9. Dear mr Lorry driver , thanks for you kind words. But please remember;
    We didn’t ask for the windmills,
    We didn’t ask for the disruptions,
    We didn’t ask for the delays,
    We didn’t ask for the destruction of our landscape and
    we didn’t ask for an arrogant, ignorant,selfish pathetic excuse for a real professional driver using our roads and clogging up our streets so that those of us living in the Rhondda will, in the long run, benefit from absolutely none of it.
    Thanks again dear Lorry driver but please don’t come back, we won’t miss you!
